Gender experiment gone wrong

A. Did the Doctors take the right course of action after the accidental mutilation.?
I think that the doctors did take the rite action in the field of medicine but in the child's situation there could have taken a different approach. At the same time you have to take in consideration that medicine and technology wasn't where it is today so their option were limited.

B. What other methods or actions could have been taken?
As a student who isn't studying medicine i don't know other ways that the situation could been handled. The whole thing was extreme and life changing.

C. Who is to blame and how can this be avoided in the future?
I know that the doctors are to blame on this event that ended up changing a mans life but at the same time some of the blame falls on the parents for not thinking of how this would pend of the child's future on the other hande you have to think of how the parents felt in the moment of panic and fear. Now in the presnet i hope that people can handle the situation in a diff rent way and with modern medicine less traumatic measures can be taken with out the exterem outcome.

  1. I don't agree with oyu for the first part. The doctors did not take the right course of action. Though now that I think of it I agree that it was also the parents fault. I think they should have made the decision.

  2. with the answer to A i agree that the medical procedures and tools were not what they are now and the options were limited, but they still could have came up with an alternate solution.

  4. I agree that the whole thing was extreme and life changing for him. He was just a little boy and instead of finding a better way to fix their mistake they decided to raise HIM as a girl for the time being.
